FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Does my membership in Declaration Entertainment make me a film investor?
A. No.  Citizen Producers are not investing in anything; they are buying membership in our filmmaking community.  The profits from that community are being used to finance films, but the individual member is not a film investor and is not entitled to any financial return should the movies become profitable.  To do so would be a violation of SEC regulations.  Any potential profits generated by films financed by Declaration Entertainment will be used to compensate cast, crew, and advertising affiliates who give us reduced rates on the front-end, to support various charities that promote our shared values, and invested into future Declaration Entertainment Films, helping grow the quality and frequency of our movies for our members and the culture.

Q. Is my membership in Declaration Entertainment tax deductible?
A. Declaration Entertainment is a membership driven, for-profit film company.  In order to avoid government regulation of our content, and to be able to compete in the highly competitive entertainment marketplace, we are not a tax-exempt or charitable organization.  Citizen Producers are members of our filmmaking community, not donors or investors.

Q. What is Declaration Entertainment's cancellation policy?
A. Citizen Producers are free to leave your community at any time.  Simply visit your Account page, Select the Edit menu, scroll to the bottom of the page, and Click DELETE.  You will be asked if you are sure you want to delete your account.  If so, click DELETE again.  Please allow 24 hours for the cancellation to process, after which no further charges will be made to your credit card and all access to the Membership Experience, including contests, giveaways, and the Membership Website, will cease.

* If for any reason the option listed above is unavailable or is not working properly, Citizen Producers may cancel their membership at any time by emailing Customer Support at Support@DeclarationEntertainment.com.

Please note that upon canceling, all participation in Declaration Entertainment's Membership Experience will cease, including receipt of any perks (T-Shirts, DVDs, Posters, etc...) that may from time to time be sent to Citizen Producers.

Q. What is the return policy for the Declaration Entertainment online Store?
A. Any defective product may be returned for a full refund, including shipping, within thirty (30) days of purchase.  Non-defective products may be returned at the purchaser's expense for exchange or in-store credit only.  No refunds are available on non-defective products.

Q. Won't Declaration Entertainment movies just be preaching to the choir?
A. On the contrary, Declaration Entertainment movies are specifically designed to carry our values to a broad audience.  We are playing offense, not defense.  While our values will always be central to the films we produce, they will not be heavy-handed or cliché.  Ideology will always take a backseat to story and quality.  Think of it as the choir preaching to everybody else.

Q. What will Declaration Entertainment films be rated?
A. Film ratings are determined by the Motion Picture Association of America, and not the producers of any film.  Declaration Entertainment can make no promises regarding the ultimate ratings of the films we produce.  Declaration Entertainment seeks to make a wide variety of films that represent traditional American values to a wide and diverse audience for the purpose of reclaiming our culture.  Some of these films will explore more mature themes like war and hardship, and not all of them will be appropriate for children of all ages.  However, Declaration Entertainment will endeavor to always remain true to the core values of our Citizen Producers.

Q. Is Declaration Entertainment a faith-based  organization?
A. Declaration Entertainment is not a faith-based organization, though it does consider faith in God as one of the fundamental pillars of American society that is consistently maligned by modern films.  While Declaration Entertainment does not exist solely to make faith-themed films, it will explore faith alongside those other American values and treat people of faith fairly and positively.
