Bill is right. The
Bill is right. The entitlement mentality is to be condemned.
But why do some people hold the idea that they are entitled to other
people's hard earned money? It starts with the rot in public education.
But the basic idea which must be uprooted from our culture is that the individual is legally and morally subservient to the group or state or mob.
Underlying that notion is the moral principle of altruism, that it is right to sacrifice one person to another. (This is not voluntary charity helping someone less fortunate than you are but a sort of morally perverted 'charity' at gun point.)
Until we acknowledge as a matter of law that the individual has certain
inviolable rights including the right to property, you will always find
people who will vote to take away somebody else's. What the hell?
It's easier than actually working for a living.
